WINTER 2013 at the LODGE at WOODLOCH
Dec 12 - Mar 19, 2014

Celebrating our 34th exhibit at the Lodge at Woodloch in Hawley Pennsylvania, we are featuring two artists, Laura McManus and Chris Magadini. Laura McManus lives in the woods on a lake in Pennsylvania and part of the year in the Caribbean. Her work pulses with energy as color and lines resound with the jazz she listens to, her paintbrush responding to the music and her environment. Observing her work at the Lodge is like listening to a physical manifestation of the chakra bowls or experiencing the revitalization of chanting, the elements of her work reverberating and humming with quantum movement. The plein air painter Chris Magadini lives in Croton New York, near the Hudson River and spends his summers in the Adirondacks. A stated goal of the artist is: “capturing the illusion of space and form while retaining a beautiful and interesting surface.” His work is an impression frozen in time. This is the kind of experience the Lodge hopes for all its guests – to be drawn into the moment, captured by something delightful and serene.    View Details
